I am so sorry to hear that this happened. No matter what the cause of their stupidity, there is no reason for this type of action. I hope all goes well and that you have your car back in great shape in the very near future!
I've often thought a Gigawatt electric shock system for anything that approaches within 3ft of your car would be a handy item to have. I'm sorry to hear this happened, and keep us informed on the repair.
lintc0532 - you're breaking my heart...sorry to hear about your misfortune. hearing situations like this just makes me more cautious of where I park.
I never valet park, never park next to a SUV, Truck, or early model cars with big heavy doors and never park next to a mini-van with baby seats in them.
<o></o>
Jealous A-holes I'm sure. MyMercedes was spit on at least 5 times by envious idiots with nothing better to do I guess. Unfortunately of course it never happened when I was around to witness and correct the error of their ways - by tearing them limb from limb. -Steve
Just jealousy, I guess it happens everywhere though it doesn't make it any better. It's pointless and just causes inconvenience and expense - sorry to hear this has happened to a Croc.
People tend to resent those who are a lot better off than they are. A $70k car will always be a target for vandalism. It's a fact of life.
This incident is nothing. If you want to read some reall horror stories, spend some time on the Ferrari boards.
A friend of mine parked his 993 on a downtown street for an hour. When he came back the whole top of his car from bumper to bumper was dented and scratched. Several witnesses (who stood by and watched) said 3young punkssaw the car and started jumping on it and dancing on it and tried kick in all the windows. No motive or reason, they just felt like it. Caused over $11,000 of damage.
Never let your car out of your sight for more than a few minutes, especially at night.

My heart goes out to you, Lintc0532. It goes with the territory of owning something others can only dream of. Our '87 911 was keyed the full length of the car by a student in a faculty parki
