I've pretty much narrowed my color choices between Arctic Silver with Cocoa interior and Midmight Blue with either Sand Beige or Natural Brown leather. One of my concerns however with the sand beige is that it looks like the dash board area is as light as the rest of the interior. I really like the brightness of the sand beige interior but am wondering if having the dash area so light would case a reflection on the windshield and too much glare in bright sunlight. I'm a little curious why a company that can design such a wonderfully engineered machine would not make the dash a somewhat darker beige. It seems thatother companies that offer a light interior make the dash somewhat darker. Any thoughts?
I have the Sand Beige in my MY06 Boxster S and I was concerned before I got the car, too. I have had the car since January and, frankly, I hadn't thought about the problem until I read your post. I guess it doesn't bother me!
There is definitely more dashboard reflection w/the Sand dash. However, I've not even been aware of it in normal driving, including into a setting sun. The condition when I've noticed it has been when driving slowly into an indoor garage on a bright day. I've not experienced it when going under an overpass. Visibility into the darkened garage is reduced for a few seconds. It's not been a problem & any issue is more than made up by the decreased interior heat load & greater feeling of openess. Your best bet is, of course, to drive a Sand car on a bright day to see for yourself.

Great taste in color combo, I've ordered Artic Silver with Cocoa leather. We have a sand interior in my wife's Z4 and have noticed no problem with reflection, but we have a black cowl cover on the dash. As so many have said in various threads, get what you want. Bill
Baslat black and sand beige - no problems. I must say that I did not think I would like it and fell in love with it as sson as i saw it 'in person'. Has been great with the east coast heat wave this summer.
i was told by a porsche reseller that the natural leather breaks down really quickly. he said it is soft and comfortable, but not durable. maybe someone who actually has natural leather could tell how theirs is holding up?
