So Cal speed

I live in San Diego, and have read the posts about the upgrades K-Mas S has done with some interest.

I would love to do some performance mods (Other than the de-snork which I already did), but I have no idea where to go for quality work in this area, say from San Diego the Los Angeles.

Anyone know of a real good shop?

Mind Over Motorsports comes to mind. They are doing a 3.8 conversion on a Cayman S. Blackforest is another excellent shop where I have all the work performed on my 914-6. BlackForest is on Engineer Rd in Clairement just east of Convoy, and Mind Over Motorsports is off of Miramar Rd somewhere.

Cheers

WD,

Does the shop truly have to be local? What I mean is if I wanted a Cayman GTR I wouldn't have a local shop try to duplicate it, I would go to the experts, in this example Farnbacher-Loles. Likewise there are a number of good shops around the country with experience with the Cayman and it might be well worth the drive to take it there and back, plus you get a nice scenic road trip. If you are locked into the SoCal area I would call Garrett at GIAC and ask who he would recommend since there are shops that resell his tuning in the SoCal area, there is even someone in Orange County that I need to follow up with who is working on a Supercharger for the Cayman S.

Thankes guys and yes K-Man S, I agree, it can really be anywhere. I'm just used to having some high end speed shops local (I lived in LA for many years) and it's easiier if I can get things done a little at a time when possible.
