Gas Tank Capacity?

I read on an English site that the Cayman S gas tank is 64 litres, that's 16.9 gallons. The Boxster S has 14.1 gallon tank.

Does anyone know what is the actual gas tank size of the Cayman S?

Thanks.

Those numbers for range are better than Road & Tracks estimate of 286 miles. I was a bit worried by that estimate given the wide open spaces out here.

In the new Cayman S book I received from my dealer yesterday, fuel capacity is listed as 16.9. Edmunds perhaps flipped some numbers.

Yep, the owners manual clearly says 16.9 gal capacity. Page 271.

Is it true that the Boxster only has a 14 gallon tank? If that's true, just for driving range alone, I'll take the Cayman over the Boxster anyday.

Thanks.

Since my car will not be here for a while, I went through the manual quickly - did anybody find anything that was a big surprise to them ?

Closer to the delivery date, I plan to print it out, read it, mark any questions I have and take it to the dealer - I suspect by that point, with the help of the Cayman club, I will be way ahead of the sales people ;-) I suspect, once people start receiving their cars, a lot of good info will flow in ( on the other hand the same people may love driving the car so much that won't have time to logon here again - lets hope not ;-)))) )

Euroboy,

I was just sitting on the tiolet reading my manual. I printed it out today and it is a lot of paper. How about no rpms above 4300 for the first 2000 miles, Page 14 !

Now that is going to be difficult, especially when all the sweetest sounds just start around there. Please anybody have any thoughts on that and how are you not going to want to go above that real soon after you get your car?

Aloha Russ
