My M3 just left with its new owner about 30 minutes ago.....yes, it was a bit sad. But life will be better soon (hopefully before September) when this http://inskip.porschedealer.com/new_...ntoryid=253179 (2007 Cayman S) finally makes it to the dealership
It was traded with Inskip Porsche while on the boat, and was scheduled to hit the port last Thursday or Friday. My Porsche man was watching his Red Sox lose in Boston over the weekend, so I won't know exactly where it is till he gets back. I'm praying to the port and traffic gods that they move quickly to get this car to Virginia Beach!
I knew i know your name somewhere, it's from S2000 forum. I remembered faguely when you said you bought an M3 Red used and you said that you never buy a new car due to depreciation.. so what's up with the new porsche? lol ;P
yeah, i feel the same way. if i buy new car, i would keep it until at least til the warranty is over. i m still contemplating whether to get 05 997 base or 07 cayman S (lightly optioned). currently leaning towards 07 cayman S since i have 4 yrs warranty while 05 base 997 has only 2 more years.
i see that you work at porsche dealership.. so any deal for me? ;p
Having a warranty is definitely a good thing, particularly on a new car model such as the Cayman. Buying used has advantages and disadvantages. I guess it just depends on what really is important to you.

2006 Midnight Blue Cayman S
I did the same thing! I actually took pics of the guy driving away in my perfect little bimmer, a 2001 330 convertible with 9000 miles. It was just like new. I sold it about a month before my CS arrived and it was hard to say goodbye, but now that I have my Cayman all is quite well.
You're right Russ. It helps that I took the Cayman S launch car (yes we still have one of the original 2006 launch cars - great deal to whomever wants it) home last night, and will run it around today.
And I thought I'm the only one trading a perfectly kept BMW for a new Cayman S. I've had my '02530i Sport/Premium/Xenon for 4 years with only 11000 miles; garage kept, not a swirl mark on it. It was heart breaking leaving my beloved bimmer at the dealership, however I felt much better driving away with my new Cayman S. If I would have a larger garage and more $$$$ I would probably kept the bimmer as well, since I believe it is the perfect sedan.
Took delivery of my car today! I haven't taken pictures yet, but I will. Couple of small differences on the 2007: colored front spoilers, cup holders are body colored (lol), TPS standard, and maybe something else. I'm too excited to think straight
