For anyone interested in the standard newbie post...
My 2006 Cayman S:
-Basalt Black, Black Standard interior, Climate Control, Bi-Xenons. I would love to have added more options, but I was stretching my budget already. I was very close to pulling the trigger on an S4 until I saw the Cayman at the Chicago Auto Show. After the test drive, I never went back to the Audi dealer!
- Ordered March 21st, took delivery June 25 from Sonnen Porsche in Mill Valley, CA. Since I ordered such a low-optioned car, price negotiations were tough. Ended up with about 2% off MSRP, plus 1 day Jim Mitchell Performance Driving School at Infineon and a 2000 mile oil change.
- 1950 miles as of today. Finally ready to let the six roar! I plan to get the oil changed, schedule the driving school, then try out autocross and regionaltrack days. I grew up with all sorts of toys (motorcycles, dirt bikes, ATVs, snowmobiles, dune buggies), but I've never been on an actual race track. I'm lookingforward tothe CS being my hobby track car, as well as my daily driver.
Me:
- 36 years old, I work in IT consulting. Wife, no kids. Wife hasn't driven it yet, but she is certainly allowed and more than capable. She is resisting my 20 minute mandatory 'orientation' and will probably soon just take it out when I'm not looking. [img]/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif[/img]
- live in Sonoma, California. There are tons of great twisty roads around here, and the CS is the perfectcar forthewife andI to do a little wine tasting on a lazy Sunday afternoon...

PCA, and I guess I'll be part of the Redwood region. I'm not really sure what to expect, but planning to attend the Porsche Concours at Ledson Winery in October. Maybe we'll meet some other club members there.
