My Cayman has 5,000 miles, and in the last 500 miles I'd been feeling a little vibration on the steering wheel and wheels when I breake. This has happen in slow and high speed. Has someone had this same problem?
What do you think it could be?
(It is not the ABS, because I do a normal breake, not violently or rough)
There were a few owners with the same issues. I believe most of them resolved it by having their whees/tires rebalanced at a shop or dealer that uses Hunter balancing machines.
You might also want to have your brake rotor run-out checked to see if there is any warping.
I had the problem but it went away when I removed the wheels, cleaned off the gunk and properly torqued the wheel bolts. The wheels may need rebalancing as suggested but mine didn't.
I never thought it could be the wheels balance, because when I go at high or low speed it doesn't vibrate, only when I hit the brakes, is this possible?
if it was the wheel balance it would happen all the time. If it only happens under braking its most likely a warped rotor. This usually happens when you heat the brakes from a heavy stop and then sit at a light or intersection with your foot on the brake. The pads act as a heat sink on one area of the rotor while other areas cool more rapidly and the rotor distorts as a result....but there are other causes as well like uneven lug torque, etc...
yeah...what davew just said. I would take it in to have it looked at soon. just have the dealership or other wheel shop remove the wheels and take a look. has the problem become worse over the last 500miles or is it about the same?
Well my vibration only occured between 60 and 65 mph but davew's suggestion does sound more reasonable in light of you finding it only when braking. Time to visit the dealer to find out and please report back.

SF, I don't think he is talking about the wheel vibration most of us experienced/ing at and above 60 mph. He is having the vibration under braking, which I think is a different issue. The wheel bearings may be loose, or calipers may be loose; I'd suggest having the dealer check it out.
This has happened to me a couple of times after letting the car sit for a couple of weeks - I took the car off to a large parking lot (behind The Rio casino/hotel) and did three full-on ABS stops from about 45 mph, and both times they were fine afterwards... and it hasn't done it since, event though I have let the car sit numerous times for a couple of weeks since. I just chalked it up to moisture putting some oxidation on the rotors.
