So I guess the answer to this question is, 'no.' That's too bad. So it seems from the linked thread that this is something the dealer can set though? Is that true KmanS?
quote:

I remember reading that it was possible to enable/disable the side markers as blinkers when signalling. Did this not make it into the final feature set? It is too late to add? I think that would be a nice thing to have (I realize that people in my blind spot cannot see me signal) http://www.caymanclub.net/topic.asp?...+Investigation Edited by - eecsdude on 09/04/2006 10:47:02 PM

basalty --

Welcome to the club. The problem with the trunk/hatch unlock is that the key remote is VERY SENSITIVE and even pocketing the keys as you walk away may inadvertantly unlock the car. Alot of us have had the unpleasant surprise of returning to our cars and finding them completely unlocked/disarmed and a trunk open, so I now will not pocket my keys until I'm inside and well away from the car. I expect the delay on the chip will prevent this. Greg

Cayman Jason,

When you take apart the connector it will be pretty obvious which wires run over to the door and which ones don't. If you get it backwards it won't hurt anything, it just won't work. You don't have to disconnect the battery but you DO need to have the ignition OFF and the key OUT while doing this.

EVERYONE ELSE,

To get one of these Remote Keys you need to order from www.mods4cars.com

Emailing ME will NOT get you a Remote Key

PM'ing ME will NOT get you a Remote Key

Thanks!

basalty,

It sounds like your CS is fairly new. Mine was built in June 06 and came from the factory with a 2 second delay on thetrunk&hatchrelease. Yours may be the same, which would be why you haven't noticed the touchy remote problem.

You only mentioned the discount amount being EU80 or US$100. My question was about the final price beingdifferent.. Just checking, seems so.

Went to place order but.....

For those of us outside the US, we cant pay in US$. huh?? You get a price in Euro. Now US$199 = EU155.35, but the web site price with the discount goes from EU249 and ends up at EU169. which back calulates to US$216. Seems all not is equal. Am I right?

As I already told you by email: The Euro price is 249,00 and you receive a rebate of 80,00 Euro (nearly $100).

We cannot change our product prices everyday according to the actual dollar/euro exchange.

Wow - I go away for few days and find 168 Active Topics, and this great buy. For me the mirror feature would be #1 - even a small damage to the wheels will cost a lot to repair.

With all this purchasing action it feels like eBay - I was thinking of waiting till midnight and see if the price would come down ( just kidding ).

Ken - please add me to your official list, as I have placed the order.

I'm not keeping a list anymore, we reached 70 so that's all that matters to Stefan and Sven I guess, but feel free to post that you've ordered here and when you do order be sure to enter your screen name here for Sven / Stefan to match up.
