You know, I was thinking about the suggestion that the box be removed ( I think I read that on the Mods4Cars website) if the car is going into the service department as an ultimate way to avoid detection and any possible warranty issues. This is a hassle, so forget that. I could see turning it off, but people can easily forget that too. I can definitelysee my knuckle-head self forgetting andguess what? The minute the horn sounds off when youlock/unlock your car at a dealer, they're going to ask... how you do dat? The dealer I take my car too is very much into tunning and they can get you all kinds of after market stuff through them, that I believe they'll even warranty as well. So I'm not too worried about it.
Rudy
Mods4Cars
Mods4cars was founded in 2002 with the idea to add a highly demanded feature to the otherwise almost perfect Porsche Boxster: Comfort One-Touch roof operation while driving at slow speeds. The resulting product offered not only that, but also allowed quick and easy installation by just swapping out a relay box, thus leaving no traces and no permanent changes on the vehicle. The first smartTOP roof controller was born.
