I think he needs to update the manual, it has customize mirror position and customized amount of lowering, perhaps Stefan will chime in.

BTW I just noticed over on Rennlist that they are running a group buy for 997 owners now as well but don't have as many people as we had. Check it out at: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...d.php?t=302934 If you know someone with a 997 send them over to Rennlist and they can get a Remote Key at a discount too!

I checked the installation instructions and it still mentions the 8 discrete lowering positions (as the original featrues had mentioned). Is this what you meant by the new features of user control of lowering point, or does the installation manual need to be updated?

the manual on our website has been updated!

Has anyone received their unit yet? Have you installed it? If so, how did it go, what were the results and do you like the unit? I'm interested in feedback on the product. I believe they started shipping last week.

I just received mine a few minutes ago - my order number was 1625.

Not sure if I'll get a chance to install it before Crocktoberfest... I might just bring it along...

I just checked again, and the manual still has the 8 discrete position adjustments for the mirror:
Function 2 - Auto-Tilt setting for passenger side mirror ( *OFF / 1 ... 8 )
When enabled and the driver's mirror selector knob is set to the passenger side mirror adjustment position, the passenger side mirror will tilt down upon shifting to reverse gear. After leaving reverse gear, the mirror will tilt back up if one of these conditions is met: a) 10 sec. inactivity or b) forward speed of >5mph is detected.
This feature can be set to 8 different return levels, to which the mirror will automatically return after tilting down.
Setting 1 is for very short drivers, setting 8 for very tall ones. For most people setting 4 or 5 will work perfectly.
Please adhere to the following set-up procedure for best results:
If you want this feature enabled, first set it to something in the middle, like 4 or 5. Then turn on the ignition and manually lower the mirror all the way down. Next, shift into reverse gear and after about 1-2 sec shift back to neutral. Wait for the mirror to automatically tilt up (after about 10 sec.) If it points too low, increase the setting, if it points "in the sky", decrease the setting.
Repeat the above procedure until you found your setting, which means that after shifting in and out of reverse, the vertical mirror position is appropriate. After that, do NOT adjust up or down manually (left and right is OK), because the mirror will always return to the position programmed with this setting. You can temporarily disable the whole feature by turning the mirror adjust knob to the middle or driver's side position.

When you use the door lock horn alert do you still have the warning when you lock the car and have left the hatch, trunk or door open and if so how can you tell which is which? I have no interest in the door lock alert but a friend wanted to know since she was considering it but didn't want to lose the other warning.

Santa Fe,

The answer is Yes, if you lock and the glove box is open you get 3 beeps instead of 2, unlock is simply 1 beep.

Got mine Monday and installed this evening. I haven't had much time to play with all of the settings but all seems to be working great. Thanks for a great product.
