Stefan has a fix for this (returning to a higher position) - we first tried it together on my car at Croctoberfest and got it working correctly. It has to do with slightly different mirror motor speeds from the original test car.

Mine works fine now, but you will need to contact him to get the fix.

Unhappy

Hello all,
I installed mine today. It seems all functional BUT I have some big problems it seems. It does as described so I figure it is installed ok.
OK the big BUT.
1. When I start her up I get "SYSTEM ERROR" on the dash. Get service etc. YIKES!!!
2. But if the Seat belt is inserted first then I dont get it.
3. The drivers door (right side for me) like would not open at all afterwards! I had to use the manual key to open it. Sometimes yes sometimes not?
4. I have the horn beep function off but after I locked the car I got a BEEP?? but had no alarm before. Not consistant

Err, can anyone Help me on this?
At this stage things are not looking good and may have to uninstall it all which is a pain as it look a long time to install due to various problems like wires not long enough etc.
Thanks...

No one here can help you, what you need is help from the manufacturer - Wilhelmy-IT (Mods4Cars) and thus need to contact them directly. Both email and phone are listed on their website.

I suspect there is either something different about your car or it is wired up incorrectly, but a call to Stefan should get you the answer you seek.

I've also experienced the driver side door not responding to remote and had to open the door with the key.

I was looking to see if anybody else got the same or simialr problem to me.
I will send the supplier an email as well.

The Install is 100% perfect. Im an Electronics Engineer (amongst other things)so I know what is going on, at least at my end of the stick.

I also discovered the right door (drivers) sometimes reverses its mode of operation. ie open is close, close is open or open always or close always. In other words its all screwed up for me.
So I de-installed it. No error message and all is perfect again.
Maybe Im the first to try it in a right hand drive?

Interesting someone else had to use the key as well.

Oh well.

No group buys currently, probably won't be any for a few months at least, BUT you can get a discount by attending Croctoberfest where Mods4Cars will be in attendance and will be selling their entire line of products at a discount!

If you buy individually before then please click on their banner ad here to conduct your purchase as we will get credit for the referral if you do so.

Thanks!

I am in at the Group Buy Price.
I haven't messed with this for quite a while, but I could sware that my passenger side mirror lowers in reverse, and I do not have this remote.
Am I just nuts here?

WD, if you have the optional preferred package with the memory/power seats you have the mirror lowering feature.

Hey 4by4,

Just curious if these things got resolved. These are the type of things that make me nervous about installing the unit.

Thanks!

That was on the 1st gen product before right hand drive cars were fixed, so 4x4's problem's should be history now. This was an older group buy thread that was dug up, there is a newer one with more recent information in it.
