I'm not sure if it is too late to add this. But after reading the manual, it seems that the mirror tilt is only an up and down tilting. In my BMW, the mirror would tilt down and move towards the left to give you a better view of the rear wheel. Is that possible to add? My passenger mirror is set to look fairly far out to cover the blind spot, so tilting down only may not be a good enough view of the rear wheel...

eecsdude,

That's all the Porsche mirror does from the factory if you have that option. There are different positions you can choose so I'm sure you'll be able to find something that works for you.

i am usually the first to spend money on mods but i am struggling with the value of this mod. <o></o>

everyone seem to be really excited relative to this product and the group buyparticipation looks to be very successful so i don’t want to be left behind...but i am still struggling…What am I missing?<o></o>

Not to be flippant but you'll be missing all of the features this mod provides while everyone in the group buy will have them. As others have said, knowing that your car is locked, knowing that you didn't accidentally pop your trunk are both of value from a safety concern. I've used the window roll down feature on hot days and now that I have the mirror lowering feature I think it is kinda cool. Auto lock and unlock is also nice to have from a safety standpoint and a convenience and something our mini-van has but Porsche neglected. Last, but not least, as other have pointed out the cost is very reasonable, I can only imagine what Porsche would charge for these 'features', heck just to get mirror tilt down costs several times as much because you have to get fully electric (and heavy) seats. Hey there's another bonus, weight savings!

Look at it this way, you've got until midnight Tuesday to decide and get the group buy price, otherwise you can always buy at the higher price later.

Worth it - and after talking to several dealer tech people with little results, I really appreciate the efforts and knowledge that went into making this product.

The number of folks already involved in this group buy speaks for itself.

This is the power of Caymanclub in action... informing people about a unique and interesting solution to certain technical problems many have with an otherwise nearly perfect car.

That's 1 more away from an additional discount! ($229) it's too bad that $199 is the floor, I wonder if we could get it all the way to zero?

I think everyone can find one or two features that make it worthwhile. For me, being able to remotely roll the windows down and up is the first. The second is the confirmation when the car is locked. It has become second nature that after I lock the doors, I check to make sure they are locked. I look forward to *never* having to do that again. People always give me a strange glance when I do it. The icing on the cake for me is having the car unlock when I turn it off. Since I had the rolling lock enabled at my dealer, I have to double pull every time I get out. I know it is a minor issue but to have it resolved is nice.

For me the mirror down on reverse is the feature I really want. I had it on my 911 and really miss it. I didn't want to get the power seats just to get this feature though.
