So I was on my way to work when I realized I ran out of smokes. I pulled into a 7-11 and had my cousin go inside to buy me a pack. I sat in the car. Moments later an older gentleman pulled right up next to me and walked up to my side. I looked at him and the first thing he said was, 'That's one beautiful car!' He and I chatted about the car and compared it to the 911. He was in awe of the car's lines. We would've gone on all day if my cousin didn't remind me that we still had to go to work. I ended up being an hour and a half late, but I think it was well worth it. Maybe I've convinced him to get one of his own.

I drove my moms husband to the Toyota dealer as they bought a truck today, and the salesmen loved the shape of the car. I think its time for them to get a new sports car to sell. I don't know how some magazine writers can not like the looks of the car as I have had it a week and even a Qvale Mangusta driver yesterday had positive comments.

Is that 35mph corner 45, 55 or a ..... corner?
I can't go anywhere without catching some questions - I can't even stop at a redlight! Maybe when this 30 Day Tag comes off things will die down?
Not that I'm complaining - actually, I think I've been very cool about it. I've allowed so many people to sit in it and have given a ton of rides. The nicer you are about it, and the more willing you are to show it off the better people will speak about the car.......and hopefully keep resale a tad higher.
Several weeks ago I stopped in Culpeper, Va for gas. I filled the tank and was reaching for the door to get in when I heard, 'You ain't gettin in that purrtty car without me lookin at it--are ya?' His name is Erik and he was the mechanic on duty at the time Istopped to get gas. Even though he talked as though he just came out of the hills, he is knows his cars. 'That's the new Porsch (accent on the 'P'--no 'e') ain't it?' It seems Erik has restored several cars including a pre-war Packard, which he still owns, and knows someone who has a '73 911 RS. 'He ain't sold it to me--yet, but he will!' We stood and talked for more than 30 minutes before he announced he had to get back to work. Next time I drive through Culpeper I am going to stop at the Exxon station and see if Erik is on duty.
My CS certainly does get some reaction when I stop at gas stations, etc., but not to the extent that most of the other members report. Maybe my looks scare them away.
