Indoor Car Cover

The thread on the outdoor car cover started me thinking about indoor car covers: I have a garage with two small windows that are open to the elements in part. I need to get an indoor car cover but am hesitant to get the $300 Porsche one. Does anyone know of a good indoor car cover?

Many thanks.

Barry

I have a custom fit covercraft covermade ofthe dustop fabric. I'm very happy with it. Fit is great, and the fabric is fairly thick for a car cover. Cost was around $165. The covercraft web site lists several online suppliers.

hope that helps, Dave

Barry,

It does not appear that you have your car yet. If that is the case, you may want to speak with your salesperson and drop a hint that the Porsche indoor cover would make a nice delivery gift. It is an awesome cover with a huge Porsche crest in the center of the hood. Looks great and is a wonderful cover. The bag that it comes in can be used to store the cover or as a first class gym bag. Ask to see one. I have pics if someone doesn't beat to it.

Vote number two for Dustop. It's a great material for indoor use.

your dealer won't give it to you.... they won't even add free wheel locks.... just think about it.. $115 for floor mats.

Check with Suncoast Motorsports, site sponsor. I got a nice discount on a beautiful indoor Porsche cover. I will check the price when I get home tonight.

Solution for you. Go to walmart to purshase a cheap car cover (size#2). Mine cost $19. Yep..$19 bucks. I did not want contractors and other nosy folks gawking at my car before they provide my price quotes on work needed at my house.

Barry,

Well even with the discount it wasn't cheap, Phil gave me a 15% discount and it came to $255, but I have to say you get what you pay for! Porsche of Honolulu wanted $425 for the same cover.

Aloha Russ

I looked at the Porsche indoor cover, but opted for a Form-Fit cover from AutoSport. The cover comes in different colors and is very form-fitting, kind of Spandex for the car. It's also lined with a felt-like material, very soft to the touch.

I ordered it in black, and stretched over the shape of the CS it's almost pornographic!
