Digital better than dial? What are your experiences? I have two dial types; one by Brookstone and the other is the Tequipment Porsche. They don't match when reading pressures on the same tire___off by a pound. Recs please.

if the analog gauage if old can get out of wack if dropped and not treated well, digital generally doesn't suffer from that problem. I would invest in a longacre digital gauge that will be the most accurate.
My $15.00 digital Radio Shack and my older Intercompand my even older 'no name' model read exactly the same. The TPMS is 4 pounds under all of them so which is correct? I'm not sure I belive any of them.
TPMS
TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.
It is resonably priced, and deadly accurate. At the Portland Parade, I tested it against the in-line air gauge they had at the Michelin tires trailor, and it matched theirs to the pound. It even has a little plug under the rubber case to re-set the atmospheric pressure to what height you are above sea level.

Altitude adjustment, hmm. I reset the TPMS by letting it learn in its new 7000' home but I never thought about the guages!

I couldn't pull up thelink you referenced___'unable to display message'. Is yours the same as the liquid filled that Zornet linked to? Intercomp 360067, 2.5 inch display, with a blue bumper?

I've used the Accutire MS-5510 digital & it is indeed an accurate & easy to read tire gauge, but it is a time consuming process to bleed air since (1) the display doesn't update & (2) it takes several seconds to clear & get a new reading. I prefer other gauges. However if someone is interested there are far less expensive sources. E.g.,
