As mentioned in another topic I had occasion to use Porsche Roadside Service due to a punctured sidewall today. They where the most pleasant folks for this kind of service that I've ever spoken with. No questions, no quibbles, full of concern about me and the car and had a flatbed truck at my house within an hour of my call and I live ten miles from nowhere. The car is now on its way to the dealership 60 miles away and I'm hopeful they have a replacement tire available.
TPMS and road hazard tire and wheel protection are paying for themselves as well.
TPMS
TPMS - The Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides early warning of any drop in pressure by continuously monitoring the pressure in each tire and alerting you in the onboard computer display in the event of a pressure deficiency. It communicates the exact pressure of each tire and/or their deviation from ideal pressure. This does away with the need for regular air pressure checks at the service station, which often prove highly inconvenient.

Is this not subcontracted out to AAA? Maybe not. I think my salesman said Porsche had some new no-name subcontractor ... maybe they are good because AAA isn't always that great!
I believe they use different contractors in the various parts of the country, but as far as I know, they do not use AAA anywhere... Also, from other posts on this board, the service Roadside Assistance contractors offer in different places can vary widely.

I'm with AAA and I've only tried using them once when my car fell off the road (it was winter time). I called AAA and they told me 2 - 3 hours before they could send out a truck to me. Instead of waiting, a nice gent pulled over and offered his assistance. He even went back to his house to grab his chain so he could pull me out. You don't see too many guys like that nowadays.

Small update: Car arrived safely at the dealer, they agreed that tire must be replaced and road hazard insurance (Olympicare)is covering the cost, no tire in stock but one was ordered from CA and is expected by Friday. I'm leaving town Sunday so hopefully all timing will work out or I'll be driving something else to Denver.
(moleculo we Westerners always have tow straps in our pickups...along with other interesting 'tools')
Car was returned the 60 miles to me this afternoon by flatbed truckat my dealers expense. That is above and beyond what is normal since Porsche roadside service picks up the one way cost to the dealer. I'mvery happy with the service.
I guess there will be that wee bit of doubt in the back of my mind as I explore the less inhabited places in New Mexico about how all this would work if I were miles away from anything including cell phone service and had a similar cut tire that the 'goop' couldn't fix. I guess food, blankets and a S&W need to fit into the emegerency supplies.
Good luck on your trip to Denver. Are you taking I-25 or back roads?
Looks like Porsche istaking good care of you in N.M..
Hoping that there are no emergencies or TPMS errors on the trip.

Nice to know that Porsche takes care of their own. I also, reluctantly at the time, bought the road hazard tire & wheel insurance. Makes me feel better about my decision.
Marty it was a nail that entered the tire right at the edge and then pointed out the side.
MP too bad but this has to be quick so I-25 all the way.
When you think about the fact that my dealer got a tire shipped from CA on Wednesday and installed by Friday it really is pretty amazing given what would have happened 25 or 30 years ago.
