Does anyone know what rear License plate light bulb the Cayman uses? I've noticed that all the new Lexus' all have a hyper white light and I'd like to do that on my car. Can someone please list the bulb number thanks
License Plate Light C5W according to User Manual. Can you tell me more of the lightbulb you are planning to use. Where are you getting if from as well as compatiblity.
Why do you want your license plate to be brighter?
1) It's not exactly a 'style element' of the car.
2) If I'm ever operating my vehicle outside of exact 'legal' procedures (yes, it happens) I like to minimize the chance of some good citizen calling in my plate. (Same reason I don't like vanity plates -- too easy to remember).

I want to know if the Polargs will work. these are amazing bulbs and they last forever
There is the question of why you would want to advertise your plate number. Last night I followed a new Lexus with a brightly lit plate and then came upon a new M5 with a diffusing lens over the plate that made it unreadable. Different strokes for different folks. I am not sure that the Highway Patrol would endorse the diffusing lens. Between Red Light cameras and Tollway booths there is sure to be a law against this.
