Why does only the passenger window move with ignition?

I have noticed every time I start the car the passenger window re-seals itself. This seems to evident on the passenger window ONLY. I think it is kind of strange. Anybody have any insights, that is if this is normal. Maybe it is just my car?

My car does this too, and I have no idea why. I'm too lazy to read the manual, but maybe it says something.

My two week old base model does the same thing - UK car.

I read the manual about setting the closed position for the windows after the battery is disconnected, guessing this may have been done at the dealers, but it makes no difference.

Maybe Porsche have worked out that the drivers door is opened more often and they release the pressure on both windows when this is done ?

I thought I've noticed it happening on both doors. My M3 used to do this as well. I think it's kind of cool actually. I don't remember the reasoning behind this setup but there is one .

I think it probably ensures better sealing as well as protect the integrity of the glass and doorframe?

As I understand it, its so that you have a complete seal between the window tip and the rubber part. You can think of it as a make-shhift O-Ring.
Door opens, window slides down a little, door closes, window tip is directly beneath rubber enclave, window goes up into enclave (pocket).

Some one enlighten me if im wrong.
