As some of you may have noticed I am investigating some alternatives with my ISP to increase bandwidth to this site. To that end, I also want to look at other hosts. I am not that familiar with hosting companies, only having tried a few in the past and not being very satisfied with them, but I'm willing to try again if it brings us more bandwidth here and allows for more growth.


Here are a few requirements of the host:


Windows 2003 Server
ASP and ASP.NET support
FrontPage Extensions
Database support
FTP (although I rarely use it)
Good bandwidth
Good storage (all those photos start taking up space!)
Good support if they offer it!

With those requirements in mind, does anyone have a suggestion on what hosting companies to look into?

Good luck finding a strong server for this great community of Cayman enthusiasts.

Also, I've noticed caymanclub.net and www.caymanclub.net bring up different sites. You might want to make sure your server is correctly supporting whatever domain NS you are using. That should help the search engines find you also.

You might help the storage & bandwidth somewhat by having folks try to limit the size (in k) of the uploaded photos. Some of them are so large that I can't see the whole thing on my screen. This probably relates to my having started in computers when storage & bandwidth cost a fortune
