I use my Cadi CTS-V as my daily driver and the Cayman S is the weekend racer. Today my brother and I decided to do a little racing on the track. We took turns driving both the Cadi and Croc. The Cadi wins hands down on the straight racing (I will post a video later). In fact the Cadi would win by a few car lengths easily. On the twistys the Cadi was able to "keep up" and the Cayman's handling is clearly better but one thing is clear - improving your driving skills makes as big of a difference. My brothers is a very advanced track driver while I am just a weekend warrior. He was able to keep up the Cadi through twisty turns and at times he said he could have passed me (but was hesitant because I am a novice).
Anyways it was fun driving both and makes me appreciate the differences between the two cars. I love my Cadi and it has 4 usable seats (unlike the 911) which for the family is important. At the same time the Croc is just fun to drive and you feel like you are in a sports car vs a family sedan.
Cadillac claims a 4.2 second 0-60 time but since I've outrun one in my modified Cayman S I'd guess they are a 4.6 second 0-60 car at best. No way they outhandle the Cayman in the corners but as Cayman Chris said, he's a novice his brother is advanced, flip that around and I suspect his brother should be increasing his distance over the Caddy in the corners with the Cayman.
I think the CTS-V is posted at high fours in most tests. Certainly no slouch in a straight line. But its weight, zero feedback, numb steering, and poor slalom make it no match for a CS on any track. It would just come down to driving ability.
I'm sure Schumacher driving a CTS-V would be able to better Jared from the Subway commercials in a Cayman, around the 'Ring....for example.

What modifications do you have may I ask? How did you come to have three Caymans?
Not sure where you got the impression that I have 3 Caymans?? I have but one. As for the modifications underneath my signature is a link to My Articles, I suggest clicking on that and you can read all about my modifications.

Ahh it was the discussion on yellow bumpers. But I realize you mentioned three porsche and not Caymans in particular. Thanks for all your work to make this group happen I'd like to say while I have the opportunity.
