My base Cayman sounds the horn repeatedly when locked if my dog stands up to look out the window as I walk away.

The stock alarm system includes a "radar-based interior surveillance" function.
I would assume your dog is triggering it.
Gotta keep that dog immobilized while you're gone...

Read the manual I do beleive that there is a way to lock the car but also disable the interior sensor.

Hit the lock button on the remote twice in a row, quickly. That will lock the doors, arm the alarm, and disable the internal motion sensors.

Keep in mind, that if you leave a person in the car while its in this state and they open the door (from the inside) that the alarm will sound.
