I had reported a few months ago that I was experiencing a pebble rattle behind the driver on the left side. I assumed it was road debris that had somehow made its way inbetween sheet-metal. The symptoms were on any decent acceleration or braking, I'd hear a "pebble" rolling back and forth. It drove me NUTS. Finally after three months of dealing with it (and an opening in my crazy work schedule) I brought it into Stevens Creek Porsche (where I bought the CS). They were able to find the problem. [Kudos to them]. They found "metal slag between fender body panels." I am soooooo happy...no more rolling marbles!!!!
I'm about to go into Stevens Creek Porsche myself to fix a rattle as well. It felt to be coming from right behind my left ear. Did they give you a loaner for the day?
I was re-reading the service notes and read something interesting..."Utilized chassis ears." I've never heard of those before today. Sound interesting!
I've had a similar noise whenever making a sharp left or right turn, coming right beneath the emergency break. I thought the same thing, that it's a pebble rolling around, which might of been it. I haven't hear the mystery noise for the past 2 months - knock on wood
