Noobie question! Not so long ago - well maybe a little while ago - Porsche drivers would flash their headlights when seeing an oncoming Porsche. Is this still the practice or is it limited to the model i.e., Carrerra, Cayman, etc.?
PCA members almost always do. Have you joined? By the way Welcome to the site. Us older guys remember the good old days don't we?

CaymanClub.Net members who are also PCA members should request access to the PCA Member only forum by filling in their PCA Member ID# into their profile and then requesting a group membership addition, both of which can be done in the User Control Panel (User CP)

Just curious if this is still appropriate.

Being a Land Rover owner too, I am used to waving at (and getting waves back from) other Landie owners and I expected the same from the Porsche owners...
...how wrong I was. I wave and they look at me as if I'm mad.
Shame, as I feel the Porsche is an enthusiasts car and we need to stick together..
Some 911s are owned by guys that just aren't into the comraderie of owning a fine sports car that will always be a classic, they just want the status of owning a fine sports car that will always be a classic. Boxter folks are much friendlier. Some Cayman folks I see on the road around here (DC area) are too busy on their cell phone to either flash or wave, so they jury is still out.
