Question Is it still OK to flash???

Noobie question! Not so long ago - well maybe a little while ago - Porsche drivers would flash their headlights when seeing an oncoming Porsche. Is this still the practice or is it limited to the model i.e., Carrerra, Cayman, etc.?

Just curious if this is still appropriate.

Wives and girlfriends are encouraged to flash all other P-cars as well.

Being a Land Rover owner too, I am used to waving at (and getting waves back from) other Landie owners and I expected the same from the Porsche owners...

...how wrong I was. I wave and they look at me as if I'm mad.

Shame, as I feel the Porsche is an enthusiasts car and we need to stick together..

cheers (and Happy New Year)

Gold Chains

Some 911s are owned by guys that just aren't into the comraderie of owning a fine sports car that will always be a classic, they just want the status of owning a fine sports car that will always be a classic. Boxter folks are much friendlier. Some Cayman folks I see on the road around here (DC area) are too busy on their cell phone to either flash or wave, so they jury is still out.

Smile Save the Flash

I was flashed the first day I test drove the Cayman and I always do. It's a great tradition for great cars!

I don't see that many other P-cars where I live, but when I have, I have yet to have a wave returned. Very stange. Now Z4's and s2000.......they wave.
