With the Blizzaks, I'm out there passing 4 wheel drive trucks. With PSM on, the CS is just awesome, with PSm turned off- diffrent story!
Those of you in the East/Midwest- with the right tires- have no fear
PSM - Porsche Stability Management
While it can’t overcome the laws of physics, the revolutionary Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system does lend an added degree of balance and control to the Cayman’s mid-engine driving dynamics, inspiring surefooted confidence in corners and extreme situations.
A standard feature on the Cayman and Cayman S, PSM continuously monitors steering input, road speed, yaw velocity and lateral acceleration to calculate the actual direction of travel. If the car begins to steer off line, PSM instantly intervenes with precision brake inputs on individual wheels to help bring the car back onto the driver’s intended path.
If braking alone isn’t enough to correct the vehicle’s cornering line, PSM then calls on the Cayman’s engine management system, adjusting engine output as needed to help stabilize handling. PSM can also compensate in an instant for mid-corner changes in load resulting from deceleration or braking. When Sport mode is selected with the optional Sport Chrono Package, PSM’s threshold for intervention is raised, allowing for greater driver involvement. If you prefer driving without automatic PSM assistance, the system can be set to standby at any time. In this case, it will only intervene under heavy braking, where both front wheels exceed the ABS threshold.
For all of its technical ability, PSM goes virtually unnoticed in everyday driving situations, preserving the Cayman’s natural agility.

Nice pictures. I look forward to snow now that I have Pirelli Alpins.
I would never move to CA, boring weather, I can't live where snow rarely if ever shows up
Those seats warm up real quick too. 45 seconds by my watch in 7F temperature.

Good we have enough people here already enjoying the February sunshine with temperatures in the LA area approaching 80 degrees! Slightly cooler in Santa Barbara. Enjoy the snow and salty roads.
Even though it's 4 degrees in my front yard it's 106 on the back patio

Love those shots. The Black looks awesome against the white backdrop!
Blizzaks are amazing. Pilot Sport Alpins a close second.
Where in IN are you that you got 12 inches of snow??? How come we didn't see a speck of that good stuff in Chicago
He must be somewhere past Gary. They always get hit with the snow from the lake.
I look forward to moving to Boston. They get the good stuff :-) Snow, seafood, and lager

Thats funny...I am moving out to Boston in the next 2 weeks also. I just took a new post with my company in our Boston office. I am going to live in Salem I think, I have friends there and they love it. All the Northshore is beautiful.
We have a loft in Lincoln Park that we are keeping (its rented out) and a house in Palos Park that we just built. My wife is staying here in Chicago for now and I will fly back every weekend.
Where are you going to live in Boston and is it a permanent move?
I'm in the South Bend area, a few minutes from Notre Dame.
We are expecting 10 more inches tonight they say, it's all lake effect. When Chicago gets a quarter inch, we get a foot- heavy wet snow- never fails. We are that white loop on the radar map that's always getting beat up. It's amazing the weather diffrence since we are only 90 miles from downtown.
Snow helps the tire industry so I say bring it on!
