Dunno about you guys in CA or FL but its FRIGGIN COLD!
How cold is it? Well you all up in the northern probably think its funny because your 20 below but it was 6 degrees this morning and didn't get above 20 today.
CS dont like this cold but I put the Porsche battery tender on an it works like a charm. Took about 8 hours to switch to "maintain" mode where it just sends out a pulse once in a while
The only think I dont like about it is you enter the car.
Do you HAVE to start the car? If not it automatically relocks setting the alarm. Dont want that because the alarm makes it longer to charge. Dont matter the door is not locked, its not like someone is going to drive off without the key
After disarming the car, the opening/closing of the door will prevent the car from arming itself. It sounds like you're using the lighter adapter. I hooked up the ctek 3300 with the eyelets to the positive and a ground and the plug just sticks out of the cowling. I didn't want the unit and wires in the footwell and have no garage to store it.
The alarm draw isn't that much anyway...the charger/maintainer can keep up with it.

Glad you asked. Los Angeles set a record yesterday with a high of 89 degrees, beating the old record of 86 degrees set in 2006. The low temperature was 57 degrees - Fahrenheit.

Where are you located? I'm guessing in or close to the North East becasue I am freezing my butt off here in CT. Then I see you say FL. Is it really that cold there?

Traveled from sunny SoCal to WI on Sunday. 80 degree temperature differential between departure and arrival (70 F to -10 F). Subtract 15 more for wind chill and this CA boy is a popsicle.
