I've also noticed that the Cayman is becoming a real reference sports car.
In the February issue of Excellence, in the article about a highly modded 993, turned into a Carrera RS Club Sport with track suspension by it's owner, there are two comparisons between that car and the Cayman S. They basically say that with the bigger 3.8 liter engine and the intense suspension mods, the RS/CS feels most like and compares best with a Cayman S.
In the April issue, while reading about the GT3, I stumbled across another. While they are talking about the handling of this awesome car, they describe it by saying "it's beautifully weighted and precise, but slightly less feelsome and a little less keen then the helm of, say, a Cayman."
I take both of these comparisons as huge compliments. We all know the GT3 is the current top of the line 911. OK, the 993 is a bit dated, but if you read the article and consider the money and mods applied to this one, you wouldn't expect any stock street car to come close.
That all tells me just how good the Cayman really is.
