Gang,
For those of you who aren't
PCA members there is an annual Porsche Parade every year. This year it is in San Diego on July 1st-5th. This year at the San Diego parade there is going to be special Porsche Paddock area parking by Register groupings!!! This means that Caymans can all park together. There is sort of an unspoken competition that goes on when this happens to see which Register has the most cars turn out and of course what special things if any have been done with those cars.
I'd like to see a strong showing from our members here. At some point we will also need to designate someone to be our lead liason with the
PCA folks in San Diego to coordinate items, likely one of our members in or around the area.
If you haven't joined
PCA yet, here is another good reason!
The following is an email I received from one of the people coordinating these activities and I wanted to share it with everyone to give everyone an idea of the events and what is taking place. If you have any questions let me know!

Registrars,
As John stated in his message below, Parade San Diego 2007 will have a Porsche Paddock. The paddock will be a large area at the concours site reserved for a non-judged display of members’ cars grouped by similar models.
This is an opportunity for register members to gather and I would like to invite all advocates/registrars to go to the Parade 2007 website and read more about the Porsche Paddock.
Go to www.pcasdr.org and then click on “Porsche Parade” in the left hand margin, and then select “Porsche Paddock”.
The Paddock is free for registered Parade entrants, but there is a $20 per car charge for non Parade attendees.
I am requesting that each registrar please advise me who their “representative” will be that will attend the Paddock. I recommend that you e-mail your members and find out who is going to attend, and then if you are not going to attend, then appoint a registry member as the on-site register focal.
This way, each group of cars will be managed by an enthusiast for that group rather than a volunteer worker.
I don’t need to know who each register representative at the paddock will be until nearer Parade (probably by beginning of June) so this e-mail is really just a “heads-up”.

Please test the Parade links and review the pages listed above and let me know if there are any questions/problems.
Many thanks to John Straub for his support.
