That I am placing my order. I still have a few hours to decide on the exterior/interior pick (harder that I though it would be, and IMHO harder than choosing the car itself).....anyway here my choices (wife-aside):
1) Seal with black standard
2) Seal with cocoa full
3) Seal with black/grey combo
4) Artic with all of the above
I am 38 and for some reason I find the black interior sportier, no compromises. The just hit it hard type. The cocoa is beautiful and more refined, more of a feeling like being in a luxury sedan if ya know what I mean. I dont want my P to look like a lexus or benz inside, but like I said, the cocoa is just too nice
Thanks to some of you that already gave the advice....follow your heart....but hey guys this is not that easy...I plan to keep the P for some years....
I am not planing to take it to the track, would the sport seats still be a must? If I am getting full leather, then the sport seat option is just a tad more....like any other option.
What are these 5mm wheel spacers? worth it?
Allright guys, cut the **** and help me decide on the damn color......
Hasta luego amigos!
Coco

I usually look for more color in my interior but I absolutely agree with you and went with black in my car after looking at the Terracotta and Cocoa. I also think black has the best contrast with the standard aluminum-look trim. Artic is nice but every manufacturer has silver. Seal is less common and would be my choice but it is really up to you.
I would go Seal with full leather black and add the sport seats. You say that you will be keeping this car for sometime so you might as well have the best. Black interior is rich and powerful and with Seal it would just be a natural.
You might consider the power seat option. I found that the regular sports seats didn't provide enough lumbar support & I did not want to spend the $$ on the adaptive sport seats.
Like you, I'd like to know what the 5mm spacers do. Could they help fill the gap between wheel and wheel arch?
the 5mm spacers won't do anything to improve the gap between the wheel and the arch but they will provide a wider stance, moves the wheels out, probably not necessary unless you go to track events
I'll leave the color up to you... it's too much of a personal choice. I got the black exterior with the sand beige full leather with sport seats interior. I really like an interior that contrasts with the exterior color... just my preference. My 2002 turbo is black/beige, and I think it looks really nice, and is different from all the black on black 996s out there.
The wheel spacers move your wheels outward 5 mm (duh!) and includes the longer wheel bolts. They make it so that the wheels/tires are flush with the edge of the fender. Take a look at the 'demo' car at the dealer, (all the ones I've seen here do not have the spacers) and you'll see that the wheels/tires sit just a tiny bit inward from the edge of the fender.
I can't tell you if they're worth it to you, but I ordered them.
I love the looks of seal/cocoa w/ adaptive sport seats. Sport seats (both norm and adaptive) have a volcano grey seat back cover to them, and I love the way it looks w/ the cocoa interior.
My second choice would be arctic w/ cocoa....although I really feel that GT silver w/ cocoa would bea better choice....but not on your list.

I cancelled my initial order as number 5 in line at a Denver dealer because I was not comfortable with the compromises involved with the early order. I've owned my 914 with SBC V8 since 1983 and I will probably keep the C-S forever. I am ordering Seal Grey w/ Flamenco Red all leather interior, sport seats and wheel, 19' Carrera Classics, the preferred package A, and delete the Cayman S. I will have another Porsche crest matching the front one placed on the rear where the logo would normally go. Nobody has mentioned it but isn't 'Cayman' a dumb name for a sports car? Sure, I have to wait a few more months but I'll get a unique car that I will be living with and enjoying for many years!
IMHO, the Cocoa interior has more class than the Black thatso many other Porsches have. Go for it!
