I have noticed so many times when driving my CS and getting close or coming face to face with another porsche cars mostly 911, drivers tend to ignore me , it is like they think they are superior and do not want to look at my speed yellow cs ,,has this ever occured to u too?
Join the Porsche club and whip their arses on the track. I beat all 996's bar one last time out.
I think the Cayman has the best chasis Porsche has ever built. Porsche obviously think that too - which is why we don't have a 3.6L engine in our cars.
The attitude from a lot of 911 crew sometimes makes me wonder...
I was at Chicago PCA event today. I was probably the only person there with Cayman and I know there was only one other person who had 06 or newer (he just got his 997). Lets just say I probably will be going only to DE events and will stay away from social event. First, 99% of the guys there have children older than me. Two, young guy with a new car, lets just say they don't take you seriously, they think your daddy bought it for you
Does it detract from my enjoyment of the fine vehicle I have, hell no, it just makes me question my membership in the club.
As far as 911s on the road. I admire them, I don't care if they wave back or whatever. I know when I add a 911 to my stable, just like I do now in my CS, I will waive at you if you look at me, point at you and say "nice car" while getting that thumb up for you.
When I was coming back one day in my CS, there was snow on the road, and I had summer PS2s, guy in the CS passed me, flashed the lights at me and waved. It made my day (considering how white my knuckles were) and the rest of the trip.
Cheers!

When I drive, I pretty much focus on the task at hand * driving *. Perhaps the 911 drivers are simply doing the same thing

Cayman S - a portable amusement park
What is sort of insulting is that a bunch of us had 911's before Caymans. It is not like we changed religions we just drive a different Porsche. Tiresome subject after so may times around the horn.
My first P-car wave was from a guy in a 993, and it totally surprised me. And, in a majority of the cases when I cross paths with a 911 we acknowlege each other - I will assume that when I don't get a wave, they simply missed my passing by, as I know there are times I see a 911 well after we could have made any eye contact.
However, I've yet to have anyone in a Boxter wave back.............
But then again, I acknowlege just about anyone in an "enthusiast" oriented car (vette, viper, STI, or Italian exotic for that matter), and usually, I get a wave back. In fact, last night a guy in a Lambo passed by in a parking lot, and we ended up face to face trying to find the perfect parking spot, and he was the one who rolled his window down to have a quick conversation.........
