front license plate

I hope my first post doesn't seem trivial.

In my search to buy a Cayman, I found a Cayman S, advertised in Auto trader. I noticed it has 4 body color plugs in the nose, apparently where a front license plate was. Since Pa. doesn't require a front plate, I don't know if I could stand looking at those plugs, even tho they match the paint.
Was drilling those holes the way most mount the front plate ?

TIA,
Jack

Drilling holes is unfortunately the only way to mount the front plate bracket... the cars come from the factory with two very small marking holes in the front bumper. I'm not sure why the car you're looking at ended up with four holes, though.

There has been many threads on this. Either you run the stock license plate mount. The tow hook plate from mower axle (sponsor) or no plate.

Welcome Jack,

If you use the search feature here you will find tons of responses to your inquiry. Alternatively, if you scroll down to the very bottom of this page you will see "similar threads" for you to peruse. Lots has been said on this issue. I'm with you___don't think I could bare the holes either.

Is the "Similar Threads" feature new? I didn't know it was there. Let's publicize it a little more; a great solution to the "Use Search/Don't tell me what to do" fandango.
