If you mean "dual tips" like the ones that come standard on the Cayman S or Boxster S models, then no, it won't sound any different. That question's already been answered earlier in this thread.

If you mean a true dual exhaust (i.e., two separate exhaust pipes coming out of the mufflers, ending in two single tips or two dual tips like on the Carrera models), then yes. But at that point, you're talking about retrofitting an aftermarket sports exhaust system on the car, and the "different sound" is going to be a function of the aftermarket system overall, more than it's a function of whether the mufflers end in single vs. dual tips.

I did test drive both cars back to back. 3.4L did growl alittle more during hard accelerating. When cruising i did not notice a difference.
Note: I test drove them in stick shift.

Question: My sales person said they have a Cayman coming in that will have a Cayman S dual exhaust tips. I am wondering if dual exhaust tips on a Cayman will sound different then with the single tip? What do you all think?

No difference, just cosmetic.
