M3- X6- 1 series in the metal

Saw all 3 of the new M3s at the dealer over the weekend. They had a yard full of them for some reason??? Fore some reason they didnt look as good as I expected. The bulge on the hood looks tacky from the side. The M badges look like they were just stuck on in a hurry. The sedan looks horrible from the rear IMO. I liked the convertible best but it was inside the locked showroom and I could not get close to it. I like the 335 coupe- almost bought one. But for some reason the M 3 add on's just make the car look too busy instead of the flowing seamless lines of something like a Cayman. Swing and a miss in my opinion. Too much Bangle influence. Have not driven one yet. I am sure that it performs well with all of the HP.

1 series- nice LITTLE ride- costs too much. They had a bare bones stripper 128 priced at 36k. 135s in the high 40s

X6- Beautiful. They really nailed this one. Home run. Absolutely beautiful. 65k on the window sticker. Has my interest when I replace my Tahoe.

the e46 M3 is one of my favorite cars and I don't feel the e92 is quite as good. It will be like Porsche trying to improve our model Cayman...

I am a big fan of the E30 M3. Race car in street clothing.

I am also a fan of the E36 M3. Still good looking after all these years. Well tuned ones go like stink on the track.

The E46 M3 is a beautiful car with a lovely engine sound and thrilling all the way to redline. A bit soft, and a bit heavy but still a wonderful car. I may buy one again someday because I like it so much.

The E92 just misses the point. Ugly. Heavy. Good engine but thats it. Sad really. A CSL version might be nice but guess how much that would cost.

BMW lost the map. Too much chasing after Mercedes AMG rather than sticking with what BMW was good at.

I saw the X6 during Rock n Croc rally 3 and it was actually featured on Killboy's blog; it was the dark red color.

I thought the front was spot on, but the profile and rear really didn't do it for me... the rear is too raked. I predict it will end up like a cult classic like the old z4m goats.

I agree with you about the E36. I owned one, it was one of my all time favorite cars. I sold it in 2001 and still wish I hadn't.

The E92 does nothing for me. I looked at them but found no compelling reason to buy one.

I’ll do anything for money except work. You have to draw the line somewhere.

The E-30-36-46 M3s were all beautifull. Classics in every sense of the word. When I got into a position to buy one, the E-46 was in the last year of production. BMW has sure managed to screw the pooch and ruin some of the greatest sports sedans/coupes that have ever existed. E-39 is another example. Enjoyed the one that I owned but I am done with the brand except maybe for an SUV. Like the previous poster said- lost the map chasing MB.
