That first one was embarassing, getting outrun by a heavy cab...

Nice to know it beat the 335 though since all the 335 fans seem to think their car is faster due to BMW published numbers...

BTW the video you want is right here:

The Cayman Club - Downloads - Cayman vs. 997 C2S

That was shot back in 2006 (august on the way back from parade) and at that time the only performance mods I had were the EVO intake, GIAC ecu tuning and Milltek exhaust. Listen to the video carefully and you can hear me letting off the gas some and back on, my goal in that vid was only just to stay with him. Once we passed traffic and were in the middle of nowhere Utah I passed him by and he could not catch me. Today it wouldn't even be close against a stock 997S, I have what 30-35 more HP than I had this video and less weight. I imagine the outcome for the Sharkwerks car would be the same, 997 seeing Cayman tail lights... oh also note I have a passenger in my car (Stefan whom you can hear and who will verify the results of that encounter) and I don't think the 997S driver had a passenger but I'm not 100% certain on that. Stefan's gear weighed more than he did, see all that electronic stuff he has hanging all over my car?

Not quite a rolling start head to head...but I loves them videos!

4 by 4, that is a great video of your hand. Ever thought about repositioning that camera?

Out on the track it is hard to make the power comparison. When you carry more speed out of a turn it does amazing things to your "acceleration" on the straights.

I had a similar result against a 335i from a standstill, except I pulled clear from 2nd gear onwards.

The result against the 997 S wasn't that bad IMO, considering its an S and it was a drag race.

Well I set it like that because I wanted to get speedo and G Force readings on the camera and yet still capture a bit of up front driving. Mind you the stupid thing zoomed up a bit more than it was first setup.
