Thunderhill on Friday

If anyone is going to be at Thunderhill on Friday, I will be there in my Yank My License Yellow 2.7. Come over and check out my brother's new 690HP TT.

If I see any other Caymans, I will tell them about this site.

Who/what club are you guys tracking with? I usually go out with NASA. It seems well organized and it's a great price. Too bad it fills quickly. What other options are there? I'm okay with going with other car clubs provided they're okay with it.

Pics from the paddock:

We go with Hooked on Driving, Audi Club, Volvo Club, and BMW Club so far. They are all different, but good for folks who enjoy track days without any mandatory safety gear besides a helmet.

CCW doesn't have wheel offset figured out yet. i dont want fikse anymore. BBS motorsprot 3 pcs with alum ctr is bloody $$ at close to $6k.

I gotta say... this type of enthusiasm is what I find missing with MB owners. Don't get me wrong. I understand that MB and Porsche have different customers. I just find it a little upsetting that many MB owners never experience what their car is capable of... even AMG owners.

Anyways, maybe I'll get out there with some of you sometime. I've been out to Thunderhill and Infineon a few times. I know I won't keep up in the corners but it'll be fun nonetheless.

i am all for ugly, strong and cheap now day as far as wheels go.

OZ superleggra is good and strong, but at 18" they aren't cheap anymore. CCW is ONE piece forged, pete. i was told they are stronger than any 3 pcs wheels?!?!

I would definitely go with CCW; I posted the forgeline link mainly because you said CCW does not have the offset figured out yet; although John at CCW should be able to figure it pretty quickly for you. I've had two sets of their 3 piece track wheels; great stuff and great price. I love the new one piece wheel; might get a set for the Stang
