That Cayman has very little connection to what you or I might drive on the road, with a 520PS, 3.9litre RSR tuned engine driving a 1250kg car and normally a sequential gearbox (removed for the 24hr race)

Yes but the same thing could be said for the 911 that won the race or the other 2 cars that finished ahead of the Alzen Cayman team.
But I saw the driver inside.. and it was using a MANUAL H SHIFTER and it was on the category of 3000cm3 to 3500cm3 so it couldnt be the 3.9 !
Suggest you read through the other thread for more details. The Alzen Cayman ran in SP7, which is 3.5 - 4 litre. As I said above, it normally runs a sequential shift but on this occasion was changed to H pattern.
