Cayman S v's 3.6 996.
For all those naysayers who are still saying the Cayman S is not a real Porsche... I am getting more and more competitive in my Cayman S. Came 2nd in class yesterday, and only 1 second behind the driver who is leading the outright club championship this year in his 3.6 996. His car is heavily modified, my CS is stock except for lowering springs.
We both knocked off a dozen of so drivers from higher classes in GT3's etc.
This was at Phillip Island.
Both the driver ahead in the 996 and the Boxster S behind me have years of experience. This is my first year, showing that the Cayman S is a very easy car to drive fast...
FYI The fastest time of the day was 1.42 in a 2006 997 GT3 Cup Race Car (obviously on full slicks) driven by a Professional racer from the Asian Carerra Cup series...
