OE 18" Cayman S wheels with Michelin Cups (235/40 and 265/35). I'm still on the set I bought in March '06; probably have 3/32" tread remaining. Did about 8 autocrosses and 7 or 8 track days last year, and 5 autocrosses and 5 track days on them so far this year. I also drive to and from events on them, so I'm very impressed with the wear rate. The Cups are good on track and driving to and from, but not so good at autocross because they're so cold natured.
Wheel size:18x10 18x8,5
Wheel type: RH turbo
Tire size:285/30/18 245/35/18
Tire type: TOYO R888 GG
How often do you have to buy new tires ?
5 or 6 tracks days but i have an agressive drive ;-)
Wheel size: 18" (my street wheels are 19")
Wheel type: Factory Boxster S (1 set) and Cayman S (fronts only)
Tire size: many, but usually either 225/40 or 245/30 fronts, 275/35 or 285/30 rear
Tire type: favorites are Michelin Sport Cups and Toyo Proxes RA-1s
How often do you have to buy new tires? when I see exposed cord (?) I get my track tires used (hence the sizes and types I used) and they ususlly have only 2/32 -3/32 tread, I usually get about 4 track days on a set, or about 400-500 track miles.

Wheel Size: Front - 18x8.5, Rear - 18x10
TiresType: Nitto NT-01
Tire Size: Front - 245/40/18, Rear - 275/35/18
Wear: Too soon to tell, Hoping for 8 to 10 track days
Wheels: Volk Racing TE37 18x8.5 and 18x10
Tires: Yokohama Advan Neovas 235/40R18 and 295/30R18
Wear: Excellent. First set lasted about 28 track days (not exactly sure because they had 8-10 track days on them before I bought them. Just bought my second set - 1 track day and counting. Good in the rain as well.
Lots of good information on this thread. I have a couple of additional questions that hopefully experienced members can help with:
1. I know that there is always a compromise, but can anyone recommend the best tire for double-duty (track and autox)?
2. Also I noticed that most people are using the stock 18 inch wheels for motorsport - anyone using spacers, if so what size front and rear?
3. Some people are using 245/35 and others 245/40 on the front what are the pros and cons or is it minimal and just due to availability of various tire makes?
