Went to the track today and since I'm new to this almost fell over when I got 10 mpg. I expected more since I get 28 on the highway. It was worth it, had a great time!
I don't track my dead stock CS, but I did this the other day to try to show a passenger a really low mpg figure. Zero the mpg, first gear, rolling start-to-6800 rpm, full throttle. The number came up 9 mpg. I expected less.
I get around 8mpg. At 100 miles my light is on. I think I have pushed to 120 miles on a tank before a fill up.
Running out of gas on the track is a big NO NO. I remember the first time I had the "consider remaining range" light come on while on the track. OK...8mpg...2 miles a lap...1 gallon to go? Can I go 10 more minutes? How long have we been out here? Thats 4 laps or more...hmmm....damn....blew the corner...LOL.
Not a CS, but I regularly get 10 mpg highway and 4.5 mpg in the 930

In my '07 CS, I get 9.2MPG including about 3 miles each way of driving between the track and gas station. This figure will vary depending upon the particular track (how much braking followed by hard acceleration, driver skill, etc.)
I keep a detailed spreadsheet log of every fillup I do, gallons added, true mileage, computer ave. speed and mileage readings, etc. It only takes an instant looking at the graph to recognize which tanks were for track days!
I'm with AttilaS, I burn about a quarter tank per 20 minute session. One safety point, do NOT see how far you can suck a tank down. This can be extremely dangerous as the gas tanks are not race tanks ergo under a high g cornering manuver you may not have have any fuel around the pickup and you do not want a stall at high speed in a corner.

With all of the braking and heavy acceleration the car undergoes. Just think as you get better that is the best fuel mileage you will get on the track.
