Inline are several of my pics from this weekends DE at Gateway International Raceway by the St. Louis PCA. As usual, it was a great event and well worth the trip. A big thanks to Dan (STLPCA), Charles (arcticsilver), Jerroy, and Sid for being gracious hosts.
From left to right: Dan, Jerroy, Sid, Tom, Charles, Paul, Sonny (Me)
A shot of Dan.
Two shots of Charles (arcticsilver).
Two shots of Sid, one with a Gt40 chasing him down!
A shot of Jerroy.
Two Caymans going neck to neck.

Just returned from the Riverside Region of PCA Timeline Event at Lake Arrowhead. Over 80 Porsche's on display as well as my Cayman. Great weekend, great event, Octoberfest didn't hurt either.

What did you think of Charle's Capristo exhaust in person? I'm assuming he had it wide open mode like he likes to run it as opposed to auto mode? Which Cayman had the fastest lap time? I would have come over this weekend but had other commitments and am actually in St. Louis next weekend.
Capristo
Capristo exhaust systems for the Cayman. The Capristo valve system allows the Cayman to be relatively quiet in cruise speeds but to sound like an F1 car when the valves are open.
When Charles revved it in loud mode, it sounded very good. The problem was at that setting, there was a lot of cockpit noise. At the quiet setting, it sounds very metallic. That metallic noise is the Honda noise I mentioned in a previous post . I would keep it in loud mode if it was on my car.
It sounds much better in person than it did in the video. I was more impressed than I expected to be. It is probably my second favorite exhaust behind the AWE. If I had to choose another, I would go Capristo.
On the topic of exhausts, I don't think I've been to a track event where I didn't have at least three people compliment me on the sound of the AWE.

Hmmm I wonder why his is sounding metallic, mine doesn't sound metallic, I'll have to compare his to mine the next time he is in town. So who set the best lap time? Was everyone there aware of this website? I saw what looked to be some people I didn't recognize from here.

I don't know who had the bet lap time. You know we don't time these events . I know Dan is faster than me, but I would expect as much with his experience.
Paul, Jerroy, and Tom either don't know about this place, or I just haven't associated the names with the aliases. I believe Sid used to post on the site before the conversion, but I haven't seen him post recently. The others post regularly.
Charles and you have practically that same car bar the rims. You should spring for the silver trim pieces for his interior. Two Smiley editions running around ... I think your exhaust sounds the same too. It sounded that way in the Youtube video. I'll be curious if you think so when you hear it in person.

Ken - I started a new thread in response to your "fastest lap time" question since it's not a simple answer and brings to the front the mods vs experience debate.
Sonny - we were happy you were able to join us again and speaking for our DE committee, we hope everyone involved with our DE made you feel welcome. Next season I plan to get to MMP so you can show me the fastest way around the track, and direct me to the best BBQ.
BTW, it's Jerroy in the yellow CS and Tom ("unknown") in the other gray CS.

Look forward to seeing you down at one of our events. The track isn't nearly as nice, but it has its own quirks that make it entertaining. Thanks for the clarification on the names. I don't know what I was thinking with Jerroy's name. Guess I really was out of it last night.
