ok...just got back. kind of a disappointment really. lots of ricers in their POS mobiles flinging grease and fumes everywhere. There were quite a few corvettes from the local racing club. One fella I talked to had a 650hp twin turbo (aftermarket) C5...automatic, he was everywhere but in the right place. The corvettes in general were doing worse times than the little japanease cars with aftermarket exhausts. There were a couple of older porsches but I could only stay for about 2 hours so I didnt get to see them do any runs. I was really wanting to meet the only other Cayman owner there, but I never saw him around. He apparantly trailered the car to the event. take a look......

I sure wish I would have been able to see him run it, but alas...no such luck. This guy is definitely is serious about racing the car. You can see he has debadged it. He has the big boy brake kit on there and Hoosier slickeys. From what I could see through the window he also had the
sport chrono kit too. Not alot of cosmetic bells or whistles, just performance upgrades.
Some nice folks from the local
PCA chapter came over and invited me to their next meeting. They looked over the Cayman and were like...wow, a hard top boxster. Does it handle better as a hard top than the convertible? I was pretty much at a loss for words, but as i said, they were real nice.
If you are on here (mystery cayman s) let us know a little more about your setup and what you plan on doing with it. Also....did you run it and what was your best time?
