Yes they have A car, the question remains if they have multiple cars, drivers and multiple tracks to actually create a cup series.

Wouldn't be interesting to have a French Cayman Cup, and Italian Cayman Cup (already exists) a US Cayman Cup and then eventually a "Word Cup" where the top drivers from each come and compete.

Ken-
Time will tell how sucessful it will be but I have to think someone believes enough to fork over the $ to set up his car...

Also, the Porsche factory Junior Cup team races Caymans so I have to believe the writing is on the wall

That will hardly be a problem...lots of car enthusiasts there. Nevers Magny-Cours, Paul Ricard, Dijon-Prenois, Le Mans, Pau, etc would be ideal venues.

I'd love to run a Cayman at Le Mans.

I agree Ernie! I noticed that the Italy Cayman Cup is using the same cage design. Why would they do that? I assume it is just easier to in install without tearing the dash out.

I am installing a full cage this winter and will run it through the dash properly...

It seems that the Porsche Club of France is well organised for next year's season.

http://www.club-porsche-france.org/h...df/annee08.pdf

They have simple rules and seem all set to go..........

Scroll down the pdf to find the CaymanCup details.......... Ernie, also a better picture of the roll bar..........

Good luck to them, hoping we can have the same in the UK soon.............

Here are the Tracks that they are using for 12 race Championship (2 races at each meeting)

Magny-Cours, Dijon, Le Mans, Nogaro, Val de Vienne, Lédenon.

Plus they plan to have non Championship meetings at the best European Circuits.

Interesting that the cup is open to Cayman S only.

From the rules, a standard Stripped out Cayman S with Roll Bar, Harness Bar, Seats etc according to the competition regulations, is available from certain official Porsche dealers at Euro 70,000 (Like for the CaymanCup in Italy).

Funny, my friend in Europe who sent this to me made the same comment...He has not sent me any more info on this or other Cayman racing ventures in Europe yet...
