Thanks Mooty!

Mooty, I've read many of your posts, especially those in the competition and modifications forums. You are a huge asset on this site. Thank you for all the great information you have shared with us.

I'm amazed that you still have so much enthusiasm for these cars and you don't even own one any more. Face it - you have an illness. You have been infected for life by Caymanitis. The only cure is to buy another one.

Glad to hear you liked the car with the PSS9 setup. I just received mine in the mail from Farnbacher Loles yesterday. I'll probably install it next week. Can't wait. The driving season is essentially over for us here in New England. It will be April before I take my car to the track again. I think it's going to be a very long winter...

Mooty you need to get another Cayman plain and simple. The RS is quicker in _your_ hands but that's because you're... Mooty. In any normal persons hands (aka me) I feel more comfy in the cayman...

This time you get a Cayman S with the LWF... I know you could get some killer times

It's shiny, new and ready for ya once we get the car

FYI, listen to James' one and see what you think but we've been trying the new Remus system as an alternative. Seems to be "beefier" and more adjustable so it "fits" cleaner too...

Hey Mooty, how did you find the PSS9 set up compared to your Moton's on your old CS?

I've driven Lou's (Bob's wife) 997 GT3RS at the track back to back with my CS and I was blown away (this was with the Ho-ho's and proper alignment). What a car...that's what I need; until then let me know how you liked the CS with the bilsteins.

pss9 is softer, makes less noises than my monoballed motons.
the alignment of james' car was set by the same person that set my motons. so set up is not the prob.
pss9 doesn't turn in as well and takes a bit longer to take a "set" in turns.
if your car is mainly a track car, go with moton, if it's mainly a street car then pss9.

did you drive either lou's or bob's 996GT3? racer ron is in love with the 6 and divorcing the RS. how would you compare 6 vs 7?

indeed the RS is phenomenal, but it is also 2x the cost of cay s.

I've driven Bob and Lou's 996GT3 as well as Bob's old 996GT2 on the track. As for the difference between the 6GT3 and the 7GT3 i dont think I'm in the proper position to really make a comparison since I drove the 7GT3 this season and the 6GT3 last season....
Ron likes his 6GT3 better because it's more raw and loud and rough. Both cars are about as quick as one another with the 7GT3 edging it out on certain corners and at the end of a long straight; but then Ron's car is not totally stock either...
I like the new GT3 for a couple of reasons, most of them very non-track reasons since they are both (with the right set up) just so damn good at the track. I like the look of the 997 better, the interior better, and I like the ride and lack of baging and clahing of the 7GT3. I could do without the sunroof on the non RS but it would not stop me from buying one.
I'm still thinking about making an offer on Lou's white 996 GT3 though....

Mooty, you drove the white Cayman s? I think that's one with a LWF. If so what are your impressions compared to your old stock black CS w.r.t the LWF?

thanks dude. i can't make Infineon monday. Have a good time!

Also a quick shout out to
