Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this under so moderators please feel free to move if needed, but I was curious what others used as there basis to select their autocross number.
I originally chose a number that tied to the age at which I purchased my first porsche which happens to be my current 07 cayman s. Purchased at 37, hence, number 137 since 37 was unavailable in my area.
Well, I consider 13 my lucky number (seriously), unfortunately someone else in my region already has that reserved as their permanent number.
My magnetic number set only consists of 1,3,4,6 (which can also serve as 9), so I can generally find a number to fit in whatever Heat I'm running - other than that, I'm not too picky.

Mine's 814, the date (August 14th) that I graduated after 10 years of post high school education which afforded me the opportunity to get the car (after I had been working for 5 years of course).
My number has been 207 for the last few years. I got it from an NNJR-PCA event as they use fixed numbers when possible and have so many members that the usual ones (69-13-99 ect) were taken years ago.
now in hindsight i like the way it lays on the car. Kinda like 007 but instead 207

23 has always been a good number for me. And it happens to be the number of my favorite football player, the most handsome, wonderful guy in the whole world....
I also use 844 in DEs only because it's available. I use my dealer's magnetics for that number.
looked at the GGR PCA AX/DE number list and picked out one not in use - i tend to like patterns, so this one worked just fine:
!! 888 !!
i hear it is a lucky number? we'll see!
my husband is 888 and i am 888L
*grin*

35 is my birthday and has always been my favorite number. A friend of mine had a set of 3's and 5's made a long time around 10 years ago and I've had them since. I try to use that number whenever I can, but sometimes its taken. Then I'll try 357 or 135.
. . . I use my dealer's magnetics for that number.
Caygirl - did your dealer give you those in return for the advertising, or did you have to buy them?

142 was my father’s motocross number in th '70s and I ran motorcycle grand prixs with it for a while in the mid '80s (it was on the bike when I took it over).
142 was not available with the POC, so with an easy switch of the magnets, viola!
