Does anyone have a link to the DE video of a Cayman or 911 that goes off the track and rolls? There is an instructor on board, it ends with the owner yelling F&%$! I think it may have been at Watkins Glen, I have searched everywhere and can't find it. Thanks.
Guys, I don't think that's a Porsche...look at the interior...the dash and the vents and the center stack...it certainly doesn't look like any Cayman or 911 to me...

Now you have my curiosity going. For the fun of it I did an image search on the 944 and 924 dash board. I think it is one of the sub-928 front engined Porsches, but I am not sure. Okay, who out there among our sharp-eyed Cayman lovers can ID the car in the video-the one that goes topsy turvey, that is. I can't offer a prize for the one who figures it out-just my respect, for what that's worth.
the roof caving in at the end is a little scary, really shows you how you need to have some kind of roll bar/cage.
I've seen a number of Porsche roll-overs. Can't recall any crushing the roof that much. I also don't know of any Porsche having a headliner and above the windshield control panel like that seen at the end, after the roof caves in.
Nope. Not a 944 or 924. As a past owner I am very familar with the dash and interior. It's not a Porsche at all.

OK, after a little more studying, I've made the following observations which can be used for deductive reasoning.
The video date is August 26, 2000, so the car is older than 2000. Not a 987 of any type. And of the pre 2000 Porsches, none had a dash like this.
The right hand stalk on the steering column shows a round control stick. These were only used on the right by Mazda, Subaru, Honda and few domestics.
The engine sound is deffinitely not a domestic. This sound is characteristic of a small displacement 4 cylinder. There aren't any small 4 cylinder domestics that are track worthy in these years.
The climate control unit is a Nippon/Fujitsu 978-137A. They have a very distinct look with the square button and the Red/Blue triangles for temp. These were only sold to Japanesse manufacturers, further eliminating the domestics.
The 'Emergeny Flasher' button in the upper center stack is triangular. This eliminates Honda as theirs has always been square.
When this car begins it's slide, there you can clearly see the driver counter steer into it. This should have had a more profound effect on the slide than it did, which means that the car is all wheel drive. That rules out Mazda. Must be a Subaru.
The Legacy had 5 sided vents like that, so it's a Subaru Legacy, but the engine sounds to hot to be a normal Legacy, so, it's a.......
1999 Subaru Legacy GT
Pretty clever huh? Or, I could be completely pulling your leg after I googled "+limerock +crash +roll" and found this.
