Looks like I've got the only Cayman in the One Lap this year. Do a forum search to reveal most of the mods if you aren't familiar with my car, but it's basically an S that I sent to Farnbacher for their GTR package plus a fair amount more stuff at this point. The highlights are 3.8L X51 motor, LSD, Motons and monoballs, GT3 and Cup suspension bits, blade FSB, custom RSB, carbon rear hatch with lexan window, euro GT3 seats, etc, etc. You can follow my blog here:
A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
The main advantage of a limited slip differential is found by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely– the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use however, such as driving off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

Looks like we're leading after the wet skidpad, which is pretty good since Davia has won the thing several times in a row in the 996TT.
My codriver is Leh Keen, who drives a Farnbacher GT car in Grand Am.

Ugh, Road America didn't go as well. 13th there, which puts us at fifth overall. Just a big HP course and we don't have as much as many of the cars here. Should get better from there, though.

Road America is THE high HP course, when you run the full track. Don't worry about it, I've seen factory pros beaten by regional racers simply because the pro was running a bike to the rules and the regional guy had a cheater motor. I was personally beaten there by several guys I used to wipe up on at any other course on the circuit when I was running the unlimited class for points and they were on a 1000, myself on a 600.
You'll get them on the normal sized courses.
