Where to mount data logger

A question for those of you who run a Traqmate or other G-force data logger in your CS... What have you found to be the best location for mounting it? I'm considering 3 possible locations:

1. On the carpet behind/under the passenger seat
2. In the front boot, behind the panel where the CD changer would go, centered L-R
3. On the front edge of the engine deck, on top of the plastic and beneath the little aluminum bar that keeps things from sliding forward between the seats.

Locations 1 & 2 have the advantage of allowing permanent mounting. Whereas 2 & 3 ensure that it's centered left-right in the car.

I suspect all 3 locations will work fine, however I'm curious what others have found to work best.

I put mine in the cubby behind the driver's seat. I used velcro so it sticks to the inside bottom. You can run your GPs cable nicely up to the roof, your power down behind the seat and into the armrest, and the remote can velcro to the visor. I ran that cable along with my video feed along the inside of the door jam and taped it down with masking tape as a temporary solution.

I found that the pass side seat has a nice little well to mount the box just nned to make sure it is level. you can run wires under carpet towards the from get power from power supply and run gps ant under the wiper covers for a super clean install

I mounted a traqmate under the seat, using heavy duty hook and look right to the carpet. I then run the remote display cable hidden in the center console and then power cable is also hidden running into the side of the center storage bin's lighter plug.

I keep the GPS antenna under the seat until needed. The remote display is mounted to the dash with one of those pro mount things, works pretty well. It would be great to mount it in the front truck but I didn't have the patience to run it thru the firewall.
