Couple things...

First, SCCA has changed the nomenclature fairly recently. "Solo2" and "Solo 2" is dead. It's just Solo now. Time Trials are as you say...road course with no cones. The thing between Solo and TT is now called "Solo Trials" and is complete with a new rule set and some new found life within SCCA in a few places to "bring it back from the dead" if you will.

Second, I live in the area of the autocross video that was posted and am a PCA member. I was tempted to take my 911 out (the Cayman is still busted from the One Lap), but came up with other things to do. I'm glad I did now that I have seen that video, too. That course was too dangerous for Solo, even in first gear. It also didn't look very fun given the speed. I know they did the best they could given the lot constraints, but I'll skip that kind of event.
