Bay Area track days?

I've been a fairly frequent NASA HPDE4 participant here in the Bay Area, Sears and ThunderHill primarily. Last year there was another black Cayman from SF but since then no one. Where is everyone or are there more favored organizations?

try HOD, or YourPrivateTrackDay.com .... a pretty well run grouping... been there twice, and signed up for their Oct date at Thunderhill. There were a couple other Cayman S' out there... and my little 2.7...

I did the Fremont Porsche Customer/Friend day at Thunderhill... a lot of track time.. but only one other Cayman.

I'd love to see a bunch more Cayman-ites out to an event. D of D&D

I like Volvo and Lotus club events also. Audi can be good but a bit rigid. BMW can be ridiculously rigid.

+1 for Hooked on Driving. They run TH a lot. Several of us Caymans there, including Dave007, Quixotica, FortF, and others from time to time. HOD is very laid back, easy going.

Trackmasters is another outfit, don't recall any CS. Also a mellow crowd.

We're doing Northern Cal. Racing Club, 6/21-22 at TH. Don't know if there other CSs.

One group I ran with when I lived out there was Unlimited Laps and they always put together good events.

I will be moving back out there, so there may be another Cayman soon. I have to do Laguna Seca with the cayman.

I gave up on the bay area NASA club a couple of years ago. The weekends were too busy with all of the race events and the drivers were typically low caliber people who seemed to crash a lot or they would bring $1000 Hondas that they were willing to rub paint with or throw into a wall. I've seen WAY too many on track accidents driving with them. It was also relatively expensive for the amount of track time you got.

I'm with Dave--the Lotus club event was nice. I'm probably going to do a HOD event soon too. There's a Lotus event in September up at Thunderhill I'm going to.
