Highest Octane Fuel in Charlotte????
Anyone care to comment on the best available pump gas in Charlotte, NC?

I have spent a fair amount of time Googling, and have not really been able to find anything specific. With Parade fast approaching, I would like to make sure that I can find a few gallons of 93 Octane.

It does appear that there are Sunoco stations in Chralotte, but not having the brand in the SW, I have no clue what they sell at the pump. I am sure that there will be Sunoco race gas at the track, and I am also pretty sure that we will not be able to buy any of it!

Brian: I bought gas in Charlotte yesterday at $4.10 per gallon for 93 octane, which is the standard premium octane rating here. What octane rating do you think one needs to run an autocross?

As indicated in my post, 93 is fine for me. We live with 91 in the Southwest, and at Parade SD, the best pump gas was 91. Some folks tracked down a few gallons of race gas to mix in.

But if 93 is standard issue premium in Charlotte, I am more than OK with that. Actually, I wish I could bring some back with me!
