On the track again

The Cup car sounds great when it overtakes on the second lap.

Couldnt pass those pesky older Porsches.

Guess I need more mods! Or better driving skills.

Fun day out. Consistent times. Will pour over the gps data in the coming weeks. Next event is far away. October. Have to do one at least before that or I'll shrivel up and die.

If the embed didnt work...here is the link: YouTube - BIR July 08 in traffic

Nice video!

That is one seriously long straight. Did I see you go into 6th gear at the end of that section? What kind of top speeds were you seeing?

Thanks. I am trying to sort out the sound. Will need to add an external mic to avoid the wind noise. Stick it in the engine compartment? Want to master trackvision. But would need to set up rpm data input for that to work.

I can hit 141mph if I get turn 10 done well.

I normally would hit the redline and would stay in fifth for turn one but tried it in 6th to see how it went.

If you can't wait until October to do another DE, come down to Mid America Motorplex near Glenwood, IA on July 26th & 27th for the Great Plains Region DE. You can register at clubregistration.net.

Would love to, but dont think I can make the trek with short notice (taking off from work).

I'll keep a watch on the calander for the great Plains Region events in future.

Try to not tip your head sideways so much; you'll be more precise if you keep your head straight up and down.

I'll work on that. Wonder if harnesses would help keep me planted better. I remember bracing my knee against the door.
